Schedule
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14
4:00pm: Shiver Eve
Register for events and spend the most romantic day of the year in the silliest way possible!
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15
10:00am: Opening Ceremonies
Hear opening remarks, see the lighting of the eternal flame and see the crowning of the Shiver Queen
11:00am: Buck Saw
A two man saw! Just like the cartoons. You and your partner are going to try to saw it in half, just like the magician did with that woman in the box. Anyway, if you do it faster than everyone else, you win. Congratulations!
11:30am: Turkey Bowling
You get two tries. Roll/slide/shove the frozen turkey at the bowling pins. Stay behind the line.
12:30pm: Tug of War
Maximum of 5 people per team. Can be less if you think you’re tough enough. 8 teams max. Pull hard on the rope. Hopefully it won’t break this year. Other than that, I think you know what to do.
12:30pm: Exhibition Tug of War (Cops vs. Fire)
Maximum of 5 people per team. Can be less if you think you’re tough enough. 8 teams max. Pull hard on the rope. Hopefully it won’t break this year. Other than that, I think you know what to do.
12:00pm, 2:30pm: Build A Bill
You and your partner have one simple job: dress BILL the mannequin. Sounds easy, right? Well, there’s a twist- clothes are tightly wrapped in a giant ball of saran wrap, & he starts completely disassembled! Compete head-to-head against other teams to see who can dress him the fastest. Expect plenty of laughter and maybe a little chaos. Remember, it’s only weird if you make it weird. Good luck! (Presented by Community Choice)
1:00pm: Beer Cooler Curling
You get two tries. Using our Playmate beer cooler loaded with 4 of the Captain’s tallboys, slide it down the ice. Try to come close to the target. Or whatever.
1:30pm: Hump N’ Bump Tube Racer
Imagine a hot dog. Now imagine it’s 7 feet long. And it has 4 handles. Now you and three of your teammates straddle it, grab the handles and hop your way to the finish line. Tips for success: synchronize your movements, emit alarming screams to distract the other team, practice your victory dance.
2:00pm: Homewrecker Slapshot
You get two shots at this. Make them count. Using our hockey stick, try to shoot the puck down the ice and get it inside the little house. The house is covered by a pretty flimsy homeowners policy so try not to bust it into tiny pieces. If somehow more than 1 person makes this happen, there will be a shoot-off elimination with each person shooting once until they miss or hit, whichever seems to make more sense.
2:45pm: Bike Time Trial
Timed event. Best time wins. Wade will tell you where the course goes. There will be a few obstacles but this time we will not be riding on the ice strip because that was a disaster wrapped in a catastrophe during a calamity. No studs on tires. It is OK to fall down (and sometimes funny). Must ride bike, not push like a first grader crossing a busy street on the way to grandma’s house.
3:30pm: Turkey Bowling
You get two tries. Roll/slide/shove the frozen turkey at the bowling pins. Stay behind the line.
4:00pm: Beer Cooler Curling
You get two tries. Using our Playmate beer cooler loaded with 4 of the Captain’s tallboys, slide it down the ice. Try to come close to the target. Or whatever.
5:00pm-8:00pm: Live Band
